How CoinTap works

The short version

1. The ways to earn

Surveys

Market-research companies pay for opinions from real people who match a specific profile. In CoinTap you open a partner survey wall, answer a few qualifying questions, and if you match the study you complete it and get paid. This is where the biggest per-task rewards are — and also where you will hit the most rejections, because most studies are hunting for a narrow demographic.

Offers

Offers pay you to do something measurable in another app or service: install and reach level 5, sign up, complete a trial, hit a milestone. Payouts are usually larger than surveys but take longer and often have several stages. Read each offer's requirements carefully — the partner network decides whether you met them, not us.

Daily rewards

There are three daily targets: check in, play three rounds, try a survey. They are one reward, not three. No target pays on its own and nothing is credited as you go — you finish all three, then tap Collect once and the whole amount lands in your balance together. If you only finish two, you collect nothing that day; the set resets at midnight UTC.

These are paid out of our own pocket rather than by a partner, so they carry a daily ceiling (see fair-play limits), and like every other coin they become withdrawable 10 days later.

Checking in on consecutive days builds a streak. The streak is a counter, not a multiplier: it does not change what you are paid on any day, and missing a day costs you the count, not any coins you have already earned. The check-in itself does not pay you — it advances the streak and ticks off one of the three targets. Its share of the coins arrives with the rest when you collect the set.

Mini-games

Mini-game rounds do not pay coins. Each round earns challenge points instead, which decide your position on the weekly leaderboard. Only the top three players at the end of the week win coins, and only if the challenge reaches its minimum number of qualifying players — the app shows the current prizes, the qualifying threshold and how many players are in before you play. Games are there for the competition and for fun; surveys and offers are where the earnings are.

Playing costs a life. You get 5 free lives a day, which reset at midnight UTC. One life is spent the moment a round starts, so quitting part-way through still uses it and nothing is refunded. When you run out, you can watch a rewarded video advert to be given one more life — up to 20 extra lives a day, so 25 rounds in a day at most. There is a short cooldown between adverts.

Watching an advert pays no coins. It is not a way to earn in CoinTap: the only thing it gives you is another round to play, and the only thing a round gives you is challenge points.

2. Coins to cash

The conversion rate is fixed and shown everywhere in the app:

CoinsValue
1,000$1
5,000$5
10,000$10
20,000$20

Coins have no monetary value on their own — they become money only when you request a cashout and we approve it. Full detail in the Cashout Policy.

3. Why surveys screen you out

A survey buyer is not looking for "anyone". They are looking for, say, 400 women aged 25–34 in the UK who bought a car in the last year. The qualifying questions at the start of a survey exist to find those people. If you are not one of them — or if their quota for people like you already filled while you were answering — you get screened out and the survey closes.

That is the normal mechanics of market research and every rewarded app works this way. Two things make it less painful in CoinTap:

The consolation applies to survey attempts. A $0 offer completion does not pay a consolation, because offers are not screened out in the same way — you either met the offer's requirement or you did not.

4. Why coins wait 10 days

Every coin you earn becomes withdrawable 10 days after you earn it. That is the whole rule — it applies to everything: surveys, offers, daily targets, referral bonuses and weekly challenge prizes.

Why the wait exists. When a partner network tells us you completed a survey or offer, that message is not final. Networks routinely reverse completions afterwards — for duplicate participation, poor answer quality, an advertiser dispute, a chargeback, or their own fraud review. Reversals can land days or even weeks later. If we paid out instantly, every reversal would be money we had already sent that was never actually earned. Within months that either bankrupts the app or forces the classic rewarded-app defence: sky-high cashout minimums that most people never reach.

Why it applies to everything, not just partner coins. We could hold only the coins that carry reversal risk and pay the rest out straight away. We deliberately do not, because a balance that matures at two different speeds is one nobody can predict — you would have to know which coins came from where and how old each batch was to work out what you could actually withdraw. One rule, applied to every coin, is a promise you can check against your own wallet: earn today, withdraw a week today.

The practical consequence, stated plainly: on a brand-new account the earliest possible payout is about a week and a half after you start earning.

Your wallet always shows both numbers: your total balance, and how much of it is withdrawable right now.

5. No random draws

Nothing in CoinTap pays a random amount. Every reward we fund ourselves — the daily targets, the weekly challenge prizes — is a fixed amount, shown to you before you earn it and paid in full when you collect it. There is no draw, no wheel, no chance element and nothing whose value you find out afterwards.

There is also nothing to buy. No purchase, no wager, no entry cost, no coin packs, no paid entries — no money of yours is ever at risk in the app, and there is nothing you could pay for that would increase what you earn.

CoinTap did previously run a daily spin wheel and a reward chest, both of which paid a randomly drawn amount, and this section published their odds in full. Both features were removed on 2026-08-09 and no longer exist in the app. There are consequently no odds left to disclose. If we ever introduce a random reward again, its odds will be published here before it ships.

Survey and offer payouts are set by the partner network rather than by us, and the amount is shown on the offer itself — see why surveys screen you out for the one case where an attempt pays a flat consolation instead.

6. Fair-play limits

7. Loyalty tiers

Your tier is a badge, not a bonus. It marks how much you have earned over the lifetime of your account and nothing more — it does not multiply, boost or change any reward.

TierReached at
Bronze
Silver25,000 coins earned
Gold100,000 coins earned

Tiers are based on coins earned over the lifetime of your account, not your current balance, and your tier never drops.

Silver and Gold used to add a +5% and +10% bonus to rewards CoinTap funds itself, and a daily check-in streak used to add a multiplier on top. Both multipliers were removed on 2026-08-09. Every reward is now paid at the amount shown, with no hidden uplift and no hidden shortfall — the figure on the button is the figure that lands in your balance.
