About
A rewards app that shows its working.
CoinTap is built by HashCore AI — an independent, one-person software business in the United Kingdom.
Who we are
HashCore AI is an independent software business registered in the United Kingdom. There is no venture funding behind CoinTap and no growth team; it is built, run and supported by one person. That means slower feature releases than a large studio — and it also means the person who wrote the payout code is the person who answers your email.
Why CoinTap exists
Rewarded apps have a deserved reputation. The pattern is familiar: generous-looking rewards at the start, a cashout threshold you can almost reach, rules that quietly change as you approach it, and support that stops replying. It works because the maths is hidden. Users cannot tell a fair app from an unfair one until they have already spent the hours.
CoinTap is an attempt to compete on the opposite basis: publish the maths and let it be checked.
What that means in practice
How the business actually makes money
It is worth being direct about this, because an app that pays users has to be paid by someone.
Market-research companies and advertisers pay our partner networks for completed surveys, completed offers and watched adverts. Those networks pay us. We pass a share of that on to you as coins and keep the rest to cover payouts, infrastructure, fraud losses and our own income. That is the entire model.
One clarification, because it is the part people assume wrongly: advert revenue funds the pool, it does not pay you per view. Watching a rewarded advert in CoinTap credits no coins — it grants an extra mini-game round. Coins come from surveys and offers, the daily targets, referral bonuses and weekly challenge prizes. The daily check-in is one of the three daily targets rather than a reward of its own: the set pays a single amount, collected once you have finished all three. See how it works.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not make money from it. The profiling answers you give inside a survey network's wall belong to that network under its own privacy notice — we never receive them. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.
Fraud, and why it affects you
The biggest threat to a rewards app is not a competitor, it is fraud. One person running fifty accounts through a proxy drains the same pool that pays everyone else, and the industry's standard defence is to raise cashout thresholds until fraud stops being worth the effort — which punishes honest users hardest.
We took the other route: a low threshold, plus tight and openly documented controls — one account per person, IP checks between earning and cashing out, a 10-day maturation window on every earning, one open request at a time, and a human reviewing every payout. It is more friction than we would like. It is what lets us keep the minimum at $5 with no ceiling above it.
