Cashout policy
Getting paid
Last updated: 2026-08-11
In plain English
- 1,000 coins = $1.
- Every payout method has the same minimum: $5 (5,000 coins).
- There is no maximum. If it has matured, you can request it.
- All coins wait 10 days after you earn them before they can be withdrawn — surveys and offers, daily targets, bonuses and challenge prizes alike.
- A person reviews every request. Approved payouts are normally sent within a few business days.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It exists to keep the reward economy solvent for people who play honestly — every rule below is a fraud control, not a way to avoid paying you.
The rate
| Coins | Value |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1 |
| 5,000 | $5 |
| 10,000 | $10 |
| 20,000 | $20 |
Values are in US dollars. Gift cards and non-USD payouts are converted at the rate shown to you when you make the request.
There is no special first cashout
The $5 minimum applies to everyone, including your first request. CoinTap used to offer a one-time $1 starter cashout by PayPal, so a new user could prove to themselves that the app pays before putting in real hours. It was retired on 11 August 2026 and no longer exists.
This heading is kept so older links to it still land somewhere that tells you the truth.
Method minimums
| Method | Minimum coins | Minimum value |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | 5,000 | $5 |
| Amazon gift card | 5,000 | $5 |
| Starbucks gift card | 5,000 | $5 |
| Tesco gift card | 5,000 | $5 |
| Steam gift card | 5,000 | $5 |
Which methods you see depends on your country, and the list can change. Every method carries the same minimum, and none of them is withheld on account age.
The 10-day maturation window
Every coin you earn is held as maturing for 10 days, then becomes withdrawable. This applies to all earnings without exception — surveys and offers, and also daily targets, referral and welcome bonuses, and weekly challenge prizes.
Why the window exists. Partner networks can reverse a completion long after they first reported it — for duplicate participation, poor data quality, an advertiser dispute or their own fraud review. The waiting period gives those reversals a chance to arrive before the money leaves. Without it, we would have to raise the cashout minimum for everyone instead.
Why it applies to every coin. Only partner coins carry reversal risk, so we could release the rest immediately. We do not, because a balance that unlocks at two different speeds is impossible to predict — you would need to know the source and age of every batch to work out what you can withdraw. One rule for every coin means the number in your wallet is a number you can plan around.
The consequence on a new account: your first cashout becomes possible about a week and a half after you start earning.
Your wallet shows withdrawable now alongside your total balance, so you always know which is which.
There is no weekly limit
You can cash out as much as you have matured, as often as you like. CoinTap used to cap newer accounts at a maximum per rolling 7 days — $5 a week under 30 days, $20 under 90. That cap was removed on 11 August 2026, because it throttled ordinary users far more than it ever bounded a fraud ring: a few surveys a week already hit it, and the balance simply piled up unwithdrawable.
What bounds the risk instead. A partner can reverse a completion 15 to 60 days after the original credit, long after a fast-cashing account would have been paid and abandoned. Against that we hold the 10-day maturation window on every coin, a human review of every single request, one open request at a time per account, a block on any account carrying owed coins, and a payout identifier that cannot be shared across accounts. None of those punish someone who simply earns a lot.
This heading is kept so older links to it still land somewhere that tells you the truth.
Owed coins
If a partner reverses a completion after you have already spent that balance on a cashout, the shortfall is recorded as owed coins. Future earnings pay it down automatically. While you owe coins, cashouts are blocked. The wallet shows the outstanding amount.
Review and processing
- You can have one pending request at a time.
- The coins are deducted from your balance when you submit the request and held while it is reviewed.
- Every request is reviewed by a person. The review looks at account age, earning pattern, reversal history, whether the earning and cashout locations are consistent, proxy and VPN screening on the request, and whether the payout identifier has been used on another account.
- Approved requests are normally paid within a few business days. Gift cards additionally depend on the fulfilment provider's own delivery time.
- If a request is declined, the coins are returned to your balance — unless the decline is for fraud, in which case the balance is forfeited under the Terms.
What can delay or decline a cashout
- A mistyped or wrong payout identifier — check your PayPal email address carefully, we cannot recover money sent to an address you entered incorrectly.
- A payout identifier already registered to another CoinTap account. Each identifier belongs to one account.
- Being under the method minimum.
- Owed coins on the account.
- Coins that have not finished maturing.
- Signals of VPN, proxy or data-centre traffic, location spoofing, emulator use, or a mismatch between where you earned and where you are cashing out.
- A partner reversal or fraud review still in progress on your recent earnings.
- We may ask you to confirm that you control the payout account before we send anything.
Fees and currency
CoinTap does not charge a cashout fee. PayPal may apply its own currency conversion or receiving fees depending on your country and account type. Gift cards are issued in the region and currency shown at the time of the request and are subject to the issuer's own terms.
Changes to this policy
We may change minimums, limits and the maturation window. Material changes are announced on this page (and in the app where feasible) before they take effect, and this page is updated with a new date. Changes apply to future requests, not to requests already submitted.
